International tests in chain- and department stores, but also in small boutiques, show over and over again a shrinkage reduction, after installing CombiClip products, of more than 50%. In some cases shrinkage was reduced by 80%. It didn’t matter whether electronic security was used before or not! The CombiClip Ink has a discouraging effect on potential shoplifters. Can I combine the CombiClip with electronic security systems?
Yes. You can use the CombiClip in combination with any electronic security system. The advantage is that you create a double level of security. The sales staff gets an alarm signal when an article is stolen. And the potential shoplifter is discouraged to steal the item at all. Of course the CombiClip System can also be used as stand-alone (without antenna).

Is it possible to freeze the CombiClip Ink?
NO! The ink reaches freezing-point at 121°C below zero. This can only be achieved in laboratory and is impossible for a regular shoplifter.

Is the CombiClip Ink indelible?
YES! The ink stain caused by illegal manipulation of the CombiClip is absolutely indelible. Non-absorbent items stained with the ink may be cleaned with Ethanol, Alcohol or Acetone.
Is the CombiClip Ink toxic?
If someone accidentally gets ink on his skin or in his eyes, the ink can be removed with lots of water and ordinary soap. The CombiClip is of course non-toxic. The CombiClip contains a maximum of 0,8ml ink. A child could drink up to 7 litres of this ink before getting ill.

What’s the difference between CombiClip and other ink security?
The CombiClip has -opposed to other ink security- no glass ampoules. The ink in a CombiClip is stored in a high-quality and transparent Polycarbonate capsule. This makes the ink clearly visible, which optimises the discouraging effect. Glass splinters can’t be released which prevents people from being injured by a breaking CombiClip.
Another advantage is that CombiClip fits perfectly with existing electronic alarm systems.

Is the CombiClip available in other colours as well?
The red signal colour is one of the most noticeable colours there is. Red means STOP! Red is also a warning colour. That is why the ink in all standard CombiClip products is red. For multiple stores, for orders in very large quantities, we can produce CombiClips in other colours.

What are the advantages of CombiClip Mini over the Standard CombiClip?
The standard CombiClip can be used in combination with existing electronic (EAS) systems. Research showed us that consumers find these labels too large to try clothes on comfortably. This is especially true for lingerie and tight-fitting clothing. That is why we developed the CombiClip Mini. The CombiClip Mini has a flat back and is also light weight. This makes trying on garments a lot more pleasant. And it also does not interfere with the presentation of the clothes.

We advice to use a special detacher for the CombiClip Mini. The CombiClip Mini has a unique shape and using a special detacher prevents the CombiClip Mini’s from wearing out.

Why would I choose CombiClip Security over electronic security?
Easy: The effectiveness of electronic security is questionable. Research* shows that annually there are over 181 million shoplifting incidents in Europe, of which only 1.501.902 (less than 1%) incidents are noticed. That ultimately leads to less than 3.000 convictions in Europe per year!
This means that you will NEVER achieve the desired effect with just conventional electronic security devices. The CombiClip works differently and is much more effective. Because theft of an article of clothing with a CombiClip still attached is simply useless. For the stolen garment becomes unsuitable to wear as the red –indelible- ink stains it permanently when the shoplifter tries to remove the CombiClip illegally. What should I do when I bought an article of clothing and the CombiClip is still attached?
Occasionally it happens that a sales person fails to remove the CombiClip at POS. We advice you to contact the store where you bought the item as soon as you notice this. They will definitely help you to remove the CombiClip. If this is, for one reason or another, impossible, please send us an e-mail. We will help you find a solution.
